Ballajura 2 - 0 BB United
Ballajura AFC pulled off one of the upsets of the season with a stunning 2-0 victory over favourites BB United. Ballajura had been tipped to lose quite convincingly, but worked hard to cause the upset. Damien Fourace scored the first goal in only the 8th minute after a great through ball from Cody Bolton was blocked by Fouracre against the onrushing keeper and it deflected into the open net. The game became worse for BB united as George Davidson was felled in the box and a red card was given to the defender for being the last man. Davidson took the penalty confidently and slotted the ball into the bottom left hand corner.
BB United then had their captain sent off for a second yellow card after arguing with the referee but it seemed to propell the side into action. They dominated the second half but Ballajura stood firm defending attack after attack. Brendan Divilly then struck the bar with a thunderous free kick that rattled the crossbar which bounced back out. BB United were then another man down after a second bookable offence for their right back. Ballajura held on and picked up a crucial three points.
